Right at the heart of Chinatown in Boston, next to all the ramen and shabu-shabu you can get, there is a rather different Asian gastropub, Shojo!

Graffiti on the wall, dance music on the speakers, cocktails by the bar and wooden dining tables ready to serve you some of the best asian fusion tapas. It is definitely a place you can go with your friends to grab a bite while enjoying some drinks on a weekday, or even during the weekend, but keep in mind that Friday’s and Saturday’s night gets pretty busy.

The menu consists of 15 courses – chef usually has seasonal add-ons – but you will still find yourself willing to order almost everything on the menu. Bao fans definitely need to try either the smoked BBQ pig bao or the Cashew Shrimp bao. I would personally say that the shrimp bao fits to those who love a more sweet like kind of taste (think coconutish cashew mayo flavor).

Tip: please do not even think to pass on the Kimchi rice; trust me, you’ll want to order a second round too. Other top choices are the wings, chicken & waffles, chicken noodles and ceviche.

Honestly, no matter what you order you’ll probably love it all.
