News: Amman hosts European Film Festival

If our Weekly Getaway hasn’t already given you many reasons to visit Amman, we’ll add one more to the list. Home to a growing art scene, from the 23rd November to the 2nd December Amman is hosting its annual European Film Festival. Funded by the European Union, the Festival brings together filmmakers from all over Europe and movie enthusiasts. Movies from all over Europe are presented, such as Sing from Hungary or Reset, a documentary on Benjamin Millepied’s first ballet as Artistic Director of the Paris Opera Ballet.The final programme will be announced in the coming days. But from what we hear from the organisers, you can expect some interesting talks, fun parties and interactive events. Running for 29 years, one of Jordan’s longest standing festivals, the Film Festival has been a beacon of culture in Amman. It’s not to be missed!
